We wish to acknowledge this sacred land on which I live. It has been a site of human activity for thousands of years. This land is the traditional and ancestral territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Haudenosaunee, the Anishinaabeg, the Wendat, the Petun, and the Seneca First Nations. This territory is part of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant and is home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with the Indigenous community here on this land.
